Italian influences in the Big Apple
The Italian design lands in Manhattan: a few steps away from Central Park an austere flat transforms itself into a magic and sophisticated place.
Italian taste and style continue to be appreciated in the US icon city: a few steps away from Central Park, on the most famous island in the world, an austere flat rediscovers contemporaneity becoming an open-space, rhythmically divided by extra light sliding doors, whose frames can be hardly perceived. The wooden floor is
laid on all the spaces aiming at enhancing the sense of continuity. Every space is linked and merged thanks to the effect of imperceptible shadows given by smoked glasses. The dining area is characterised by an original sphere-shaped table, whereas in the living area a modular hanging system stands out.
Covering, finishing, furniture, systems and doors are all made in Italy. The owners have personally selected all materials and furniture during their trips to Italy. This Made in Italy house in the heart of New York was planned with the help of a Tuscan designer, who also supervised work on site.
